Expect plenty of new details and stills from Avengers: Age of Ultron when Entertainment Weekly goes on sale later this week, but for now, they’ve shared some spoilers via their website. For starters, the site reveals that Baron von Strucker has been using Loki’s sceptre for human experimentation, giving Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver their superhuman abilities. That’s not all though, as Iron Man is apparently the one who chooses to target the HYDRA leader because of some of his other interests. “Von Strucker was working on a lot of stuff, including robotics,” Marvel Studios President and producer Kevin Feige reveals. “Tony realizes, ‘[Those robotics] might be able to help me get over the hump of some of the AI stuff I’ve been working on.'”

As a result, Ultron is born from the technology of both men and when Ultron goes rogue, he apparently “shreds” J.A.R.V.I.S., something which possibly brings an end to theories that The Vision will end up being that A.I. programme given a body. Intriguing, don’t you think? More details will be revealed soon, so stay tuned to CBM for updates. Don’t forget to also check out the first official image of Paul Bettany as The Vision (along with an epic banner for the sequel) below.
