DC TV Universe Crossover – Big bad REVEALED!
Last season on the DC CW shows the hero’s all had to deal with the villain Vandal Savage as part of the network’s epic crossover event. This season there is a new big bad on the horizon, and today the CW has revealed who it will be. This years villain is ‘The Dominators‘. “This year, for our mega ‘Arrowverse’ crossover, we’re taking inspiration from a DC crossover from the late 1980s known as Invasion!, which featured an alien race called the Dominators, who’d previously vexed the Legion of Superheroes,” Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow EP Marc Guggenheim says. “We’re using cutting edge prosthetics and computer effects to achieve a feature film-quality look which is faithful to Invasion! artist Todd McFarlane’s interpretation of the characters.”
In the comics, specifically in Invasion!, the Dominators are a technologically advanced alien race who form a coalition with various other races to invade Earth all in the name of eliminating the threat posed by unpredictable metahumans. To note, the Daxamites were part of the coalition, and the newly arrived Mon-El (Chris Wood) on Supergirl hails from Daxam.
