Today is actor Stephen Amell’s birthday.
As the televised version of DC Comics’ Green Arrow character, Amell plays Oliver Queen/The Arrow on The CW’s Arrow. Protecting the streets of Starling City for three (and an upcoming fourth) season, Amell has resonated well with critics and Arrow’s dedicated fanbase. But his comic book credits don’t end there. Amell will enter a different four-color universe when he dons the hockey mask as Casey Jones in next year’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2.
Amell’s other major television credits include the HBO Series Hung, Private Practice, and Heartland, among other guest-appearances.
