THE POP-EXPOSE ‘Do You Believe In Santa’ by Mitchell Smith!

Do you believe in Santa?

Santa has been quite a popular character over the years. Kris Kringle, Jolly old St Nick., Pere Noel, Father Christmas, Many cartoons, Movies, and songs have been made based around him. Santa is the one most kids want to sit on his lap and let him know what they would like him to bring for Christmas. He might be a hero or a villain depending on whether or not a child receives that one special gift he was wishing for the most. Then there are those Christmas Eve snow falls that sometimes can hold evidence that Santa indeed had stopped by to drop off those gifts. Santa has been featured in many movies such as “Miracle on 34th Street”, “A Christmas Story”, and was brought to life in Tim Allen’s “The Santa Clause”.

All great movies but many other greats have been made over the years as well. Santa has also been main character in many, many cartoons and animated films. Some of my favorites are the Polar Express, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer , and “The year without Santa Claus.” Also many songs have highlighted that Jolly big man, “I saw mommy kissing Santa Clause, “Santa Baby”, and one of my all time favorites is Bruce Springsteen’s version of “Santa Claus is coming to Town.”

Every corner I turn this time of year I see Santa, pictures, movies, people, so I guess I have to say, “Yes Virginia there is a Santa Claus.” He is around pretty much every corner I turn these days, so it’s hard for me to believe someone when they tell me there is no such thing as Santa, because it appears to me that there is quite indeed a Santa Claus. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.
