Tom Welling Sounds off on Joining the Cast of ‘SUPERGIRL’!
The rumor mill has been going for over a year now about the possibility of Tom Welling reprising his role of either Clark Kent or Superman and joining the cast of The Flash or Arrow or even Legends of Tomorrow. Today Tom Welling himself had some words to say about the possibility of his making an appearance on ‘Supergirl‘. Find out what he had to say below, and share your thoughts AFTER THE JUMP!
“There’s people who would like it… there’s people who don’t like it, but I will tell you that no one has ever actually asked me to do it,” Welling revealed. “So, I don’t know. It would be kind of odd. I don’t know who he is at that point. He would obviously be Superman…”
In the interview with BuzzFeed, Welling said that he is happy that Smallville had such an influence on the current television landscape, which includes several superhero shows on ABC, The CW, CBS and Netflix.
“It’s a compliment,” Welling said. “I’m very proud of shows like Arrow [and] The Flash. … They’re able to ground these characters so that the viewer can relate on a human level to people who used to be only in two dimensions.”
