G.I.Joe

G.I.Joe ‘Tiger Force’ Discussion By Mitchell Smith!

Today I’m going to check out the G.I.Joe Tiger Force sub group as a whole. I had a couple as a kid, the Tiger Paw, Dusty, and the Tiger Fly that came with Recondo. I really liked these as a kid and I have the 2 figures still and a very beat up Tiger Fly, I’m not sure what happened to my Tiger Paw. Now as an adult collector I have most of the figures from this group in my collection, but just my really beat up Tiger Fly and another very beat up vehicle the Tiger Sting. Both are not in any condition to display other then in battle damage. I thought this was a very nice sub group when I first got these back when I was 12 years old.

The concept was cool and the color schemes for the most part looked pretty good in my opinion. I know not everyone is a fan of yellow military vehicles but I thought this line was one of the best sub groups. Someday I hope to come across some nice vehicles as I think these were a turning point for G.I. Joe, but the vehicles still looked awesome and the figures Still looked somewhat like soldiers. I think there has been some awesome customs over the years mostly vehicles that I’ve seen. I was kind of sad they did not release the Tiger Force at retail for the modern figures.

I would have loved to get my hands on some of the modern vehicles, but I think I may start trying to get a couple of the small vintage vehicles to go with my figures. Even though there were some exclusive vehicles released in modern style, I think there would have been a market out there for some Tiger Force vehicles released at regular retail. , I know there are a lot of people out there who love the Tiger Force, who loves the Tiger Force as much as I do? MAKE THE JUMP to the forums and let us know. Check back tomorrow for the next discussion and stay safe all.
