G.I.Joe ‘America’s Movable Fighting Man’! By Mitchell Smith!

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m getting into the original G.I. Joe 12 inch figures. I’m sure many of you know the original story of how G.I. Joe came about. My Grandparents had a few G.I. Joe and Marx figures that I grew up playing with and I found great enjoyment loading up a jeep and driving these Joes around for various adventures.

The original Joes came with an outfit and other outfits could be purchased to switch and make unique characters or build your army. There are tons of accessories to make a whole platoon with every character having their specific specialty. The 12 inch line as a whole interests me a lot. I love finding the ARAH 12 inch figures and I feel that love is an extension of all the joy the original 12 inch Joes brought me. Who collects 12 inch Joes?
