G.I. Joe 1983 Falcon & Viper Gliders – Forgotten Classics of the Original Line

Welcome to The Outpost. Today I’m taking a look at the 1983 G.I. Joe Falcon and Viper gliders. Back in the day these were pretty awesome. The Cobra Viper glider was featured in the original mini series as Duke escapes the clutches of Cobra Commander and his evil organization. I don’t know anyone that had this as a kid or as a collector. These were designed to actually fly so a good many of them got destroyed. If you are lucky enough to have one of these in your collection I am jealous.

These are really cool and I’m not sure why these have never been remade. I think these would sell like hot cakes, even if they were half the size just to display with your figures they would be awesome. This is one of my favorite vehicles from the original show and would be cool to own but I’ll settle with fantasized about them right now.
