The Highwaymen 2019 Reviewed!

Hello everybody. Today I’m taking a look at the 2019 film “The Highwaymen”. The film stars Kevin Costner as Frank Hamer and Woody Harrelson as Maney Gault 2 former Texas Rangers hired by the government to track down the notorious Bonnie and Clyde. Bonnie and Clyde made quite a name for themselves in the early 30’s as they robbed banks, gas stations, and committed many murders.

The Highwaymen takes a different look at Bonnie and Clyde as it follows Frank and Maney as they try and piece together a pattern that will lead them to capturing or killing the gangsters. This was a good movie and kept me on the edge of my recliner. This is based on true events of Frank and Maney chasing Bonnie and Clyde across Texas, Louisiana, and other states like Oklahoma.

I enjoyed getting a 1930’s perspective of that time frame and imagined what it would have been like for my grandparents and great grandparents as this would have been the time that they were young adults and children even. Overall this was an entertaining movie and if you missed it, it’s definitely worth checking out. Have a great week everyone.
