SDCC 2026: BigBadWorkShop Steals the Spotlight with Monster Force, Fury Force, and NPC Reveals

One of the biggest surprises on the San Diego Comic-Con 2026 show floor came from BigBadWorkShop, whose display case was packed with exciting new prototypes spanning three very different but equally compelling toy lines: Monster Force, Fury Force, and NPC (Non-Playable Characters).

The booth showcased an impressive mix of painted samples and early gray prototypes, giving collectors a look at what’s coming next. Monster Force continued to expand its supernatural military universe with striking new heroes and creatures, including armored operatives, terrifying werewolves, aquatic monsters, reptilian creatures, and heavily armed monster hunters. The level of sculpted detail, interchangeable heads, and realistic accessories suggests the line is continuing to evolve into one of the most ambitious independent 1:12 scale action figure brands on the market.

Equally intriguing was the growing NPC lineup, which focuses on everyday civilian characters rarely seen in action figure form. New reveals included a Camp Counselor, Stay-at-Home Mom, Mob Boss, SWAT Officer, FBI Agent, Exorcist Priest, and Bank Robbers, giving collectors endless possibilities for creating realistic displays and dioramas beyond traditional heroes and villains.

Fans of military action figures also had plenty to celebrate with Fury Force. The display featured returning favorites alongside new operatives, including an impressive Larry Hama figure that immediately caught the attention of longtime G.I. Joe fans.

From horror to military action to everyday civilians, BigBadWorkShop demonstrated an impressive range at SDCC 2026. If these prototypes are any indication, collectors will have plenty to look forward to as these exciting lines continue to grow.
