Although it hit some bumps in the road along the way, Marvel’s ‘Ant-Man’ has officially completed filming—well, director Peyton Reed has officially completed principal photography on the project, and there could always be some additional reshoots ahead. But the bulk of filming on ‘Ant-Man’ is complete, which also brings an end to filming on Marvel’s Phase Two film projects. Let Phase Three begin!

‘Ant-Man’ definitely had to overcome some obstacles during production: director Edgar Wright departed the project and was replaced by Peyton Reed, and the script was reworked by Adam McKay and star Paul Rudd. But in the end, everything seemed to work out, as Reed announced via his Twitter account that principal photography on the film has come to an end:

And that’s it! Principal photography on ANT-MAN is now complete. The ants have left the building. Stay tuned… pic.twitter.com/xj5h9qFyo6

‘Ant-Man’ is the final film in Marvel’s Phase Two plan, and stars Rudd as Scott Lang, a con-man who must help his mentor Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) keep his super-powered Ant-Man suit safe from new enemies. Lang and Pym must work together to pull off the most fantastic and ambitious heist if they want to save the world from destruction.

The film also stars Evangeline Lilly, Judy Greer, Michael Peña, Corey Stoll, Bobby Cannavale, Martin Donovan, John Slattery, and Gregg Turkington, and hits theaters on July 17, 2015.
