Calista Flockhart Cast as ‘Cat Grant’ in new Supergirl Show!

Variety reports that Calista Flockhart (Ally McBeal, Brothers & Sisters) has been cast as Cat Grant in the upoming Supergirl television series. Described as a series regular, Grant will be a “self-made media magnate” who runs a company called CatCo where Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl, works as an assistant.
Flockhart joins a cast currently set as Melisa Benoist as Supergirl, Mehcad Brooks as Jimmy Olsen and Lauren Benanti as Supergirl’s mother. Supergirl is expected to premiere in the fall of 2015.
