The POP-EXPOSE ‘Humans’ by Train!

There are 2 general ideas of how mankind was created. One being created by God, and the other evolving over millions of years into what we see today. People come in many different shapes, colors, and forms, but when you break it all down the body pretty much operates the same. We have all the same organs, and weather you are black, white, purple, or green the skin and hair serve the same function. Then there is the brain, which functions in a wide variety of ways, but once again it really serves the same basic function for humans and animals alike.
What came first the chicken or the egg? Growing up I was not religious at all. My parents didn’t make me go to church, never took a religious class. The extent of my religion was I knew there was a bible, I knew to pray to God in a crises, and I new that the cross was a religious sign. In 1998 I proposed to my girlfriend. She was strict Catholic, so I had to convert to be able to get married in the Catholic church. I crammed years of religious classes into about 6 months, got baptized, first communion, the whole nine yards. Since then I have consistently been a church goer especially with my children. So I conclude we all came from someplace, where that was I’m not sure.If you think about our body and how things function. It is quite an amazing thing all the parts that need to work to keep us alive. If something minor fails like the gallbladder we can go in and fix it and keep on going. There are some pretty major surgeries performed to fix hearts, lungs, brains, pretty major stuff and humans still can heal and keep on going. I remember my first born child. My wife ended up going in for a c section and the nurse says stand up to see the baby being born. Well the first thing I noticed was all my wife’s organs laying on tables on each side of her. While they were getting the baby cleaned up the doctor had a doctor in training he was showing the other how to stuff everything back in and sew her up. Our body can endure some pretty harsh punishment as well, with sports we can pound our body, with drugs we can destroy our body, not to mention some pretty sever accidents that may have left someone with a lost limb or maybe even movement all together, but somehow humans can push through and with technology always advancing, we are constantly creating and advancing what we can replace.
One of the hardest things to figure out and understand is how our brain operates. There are people who are always happy, some who are super smart, some who have low function, and some people who are just mean and miserable all the time. I work part time with mentally challenged men that live in a group home. On the out side they may be looked at as less a person because of they way they talk or look. After you work with them and interact with them you start to see that they are not much different then you or I. They have wants and needs. They have likes and dislikes. I’ve begun to realize that they are not much different, they just have a brain that has been injured in some way and they operate at a slower level sometimes, but I’ve seen a lot of so called normal people act a lot worse then my guys. Now I’m a pretty happy go lucky guy, I figure what is the point of going through life miserable. Make the best of what you have. There are those days though no matter how hard I try to fight it I just hate the world and everything in it. The brain just can act in strange ways. Sometimes I like to go to the zoo and watch all the animals. They have peculiar ways of going about things. Sometimes I like to go to the casino and watch the people, they are even more peculiar then the animals at the zoo. In the end I would like to leave a thought though. Recently the church has recognized that people perhaps have evolved from apes. My question is who made the apes then?
