Exciting news today for fans of ‘Supergirl‘. The show has been Officially renewed with one major change. The show will not be returning to CBS but moving over to the CW. For fans of, ‘The Flash‘ and ‘Arrow‘ this is great news as it opens the door for many more crossover opportunities. Check out more details on this move below, and share your thoughts AFTER THE JUMP!

This move was finally confirmed by EW after weeks of reports and speculation about network executives contemplating bringing Supergirl to the same home as other DC superhero shows Arrow, The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow. This might mean that Supergirl will move production from Los Angeles to Vancouver, though The CW wouldn’t confirm that. Because of this shift, this will also likely reduce the show’s budget in order to work on the other network. On CBS, the per-episode cost was apparently around $3 million.
