Facebook or Hatebook?

You may be wondering, is this going to be an op-ed from a ‘social justice warrior’ explaining how free speech should be banned in favor of protecting the opinions of a specific religious or sexually oriented group of people. That is not the essence of what this article is going to be about. What I am here to discuss today is that ‘Facebook’ should really be named ‘Hatebook’. What Facebook has become is an outlet for humanity to openly post hatred of every kind from every direction at anyone who is there to read what they have to say. Muslims hate Christians, LGBT People hate Christians, Atheists hate everyone, Trump supporters hate Hillary, Hillary supporters hate Trump supporters. And lets not forget the whole hashtag crowd, we have all read thousands of posts about how #blacklivesmatter #gorillalivesmatter #whitelivesmatter. If peoples lives really mattered so much to these groups, why do they spend all of their time sharing content on social media hating on whatever group they oppose.

Unfortunately Americans are addicted to having their face in a device. They are reprogramming their brains to think that all of humanity is filled with hate and anger, because that is all they see on their device of choice. Mabee people should turn of their devices and actually meet people or converse face to face with actual humans. Look at the sky or nature once in while. Mabee society should stop allowing their brains to be socially ‘manipulated’ by social media.

Try something new for a day. Start your day by visiting with your family or friends or just take the time to speak to a cashier or food service worker. Take the morning and don’t bother to ready your ‘Facebook’ feed or check to see whatever tweet is trending. You might find the world a much happier place than you had been mislead to believe by your ‘device’.
