AHSOKA LIVE ACTION SERIES PREVIEW!

Story by Mitchell Smith
Hello everyone, today I’m taking a look at the new highly anticipated Star Wars live action series “Ahsoka”. The initial trailer has revealed a great number of characters from the animated series “Star Wars Rebels”. Rebels came out in 2014 and ran for 4 seasons. One might think only for seasons? Must not have bean a good show. Well that would be a huge misconception. Now we see that from the looks of Ahsoka, Rebels is getting more seasons in a live action show.
Ahsoka has been a part of many Star Wars series from the animated series “Clone Wars” to the live action “Mandalorian”. Now with her own live action series, which seemingly will be a continuation of Rebels, could bring in a ton of Star Wars characters. Some obvious choices would be Hondo Ohnaka and Captain Rex from the animated series but the story takes place after “Return of the Jedi” and before the “Force Awakens”, so many other characters could be brought in. One thing I want to see is the ship that is as iconic as the Millennium Falcon the Ghost. It would be great if the rebel crew found an actual Phantom to replace the one they lost. For those of you who have never watched Rebels the Phantom is a smaller ship that attached to the main ship the Ghost and was used on several missions the Rebel crew went on.
As excited as I am about seeing the Rebels crew still alive the show is called Ahsoka. Which means the door is wide open for several characters to come into play. As we did get a glimpse of Luke Skywalker in the Mandalorian it is possible that they bring in Luke and perhaps Ashoka gives Luke some Jedi knowledge that helps him become a stronger Jedi. She was once the learner, now she is the master. There is still a large gap between Ahsoka and the final trilogy, and there could be some young Padawans brought in during Luke’s training camp like Ben Solo, along with a possible young Rey to explain her childhood a little more. I wouldn’t think we would see many old school Mos Eisley patrons or Jabbas minions but there is a chance we may see a new character of one of the species seen in the original trilogy. I’m not sure, I know my mind runs crazy of some characters I would love to see of past species such as Ephant Mon’s Chevin species or Leesub Sirln’s Qiraash species.
I don’t think we will see any of Han or Leia but I feel we could see some Chewy or R2. Over all I think there are going to be some really good episodes and this is at a point that will capture a wide range of fans from those who were a 7 year old watching Rebels to those who are 77 that stood in line to see the original Star Wars in theaters in 1977. I know some of the series and movies get a lot of complaints but I have enjoyed everything about Star Wars over the years and I can’t wait to see where the new Ahsoka series will go. What classic character would you like to see brought in? Share your thoughts with us about this new series in the comments below!
