Beetlejuice Returns: Michael Keaton Revives Iconic Role in Highly Anticipated Sequel!
Michael Keaton is set to reprise his role as Beetlejuice, bringing back the iconic character after nearly four decades. Entertainment Weekly recently unveiled the first image of Keaton in the upcoming sequel, showcasing him in his signature “bio-exorcist” attire complete with the black and white striped suit and wild green hair.
Director Tim Burton shared insights into Keaton’s return, describing the actor’s seamless transition back into the role as almost akin to a “demon possession.” Despite initial reservations, Keaton effortlessly slipped back into character, much to Burton’s delight.
While details about the plot of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice remain scarce, it’s confirmed that Keaton will be joined by returning stars Winona Ryder and Catherine O’Hara, reprising their roles as Lydia and Delia Deetz, respectively. Additionally, Jenna Ortega from Netflix’s Wednesday will join the cast as Astrid, Lydia’s daughter.
Burton teased a key element of the story, revealing that it begins “decades later with a death in the family,” sparking curiosity about the narrative’s direction.
