Developer TellTale Working On A Game Of Thrones Game!

IGN has reported today that developer TellTales (is already working on a Game Of Thrones spin off title. Very few details have been releases so far, but anyone who watches the HBO series and has played games such as Skyrim will no doubt drool in the potential of the franchise being developed by a company with a stellar track record of solid games such as The Walking Dead and A Wolf Among Us.

George R.R. Martin’s best-selling book series, “A Song of Ice and Fire,” exploded into the public conscious when HBO began airing its television adaptation, A Game of Thrones. But despite its massive popularity, the series has never generated a strong video game lineage. Last year, Cyanide Studios released a universally panned role-playing game, but the potential for the series in interactive media is undeniable. Enter Telltale Games.

According to a report from IGN, the studio is hard at work developing a video game spin-off. The sources have allegedly revealed the game’s existence, but shared little else about the project. It’s unknown whether Telltale acquired the rights for the book series or the HBO adaptation. When reached for comment, Telltale senior vice president of publishing Steve Allison said, “We get these sorts of rumors about what we could be working on next cropping up all the time. Officially we have no comment.”
