G.I.Joe ‘Check Point Alpha’ Discussion By Mitchell Smith!

Welcome to the outpost. Today I’m checking out the 1985 G.I.Joe Check Point playset. This is one of my favorite mini playsets. I did not have one as a kid, but I was able to piece one together as an adult collector. I had everything but the clipboard and one day I was going through some parts and low and behold there it was, I had one all along to complete the set.

This set is small enough so it doesn’t take up a ton of space, but has a lot going on and makes it a fun piece to have. First thing is the red gate that stands out. Its not huge but does the trick for a base entrance. Then the bottom portion is the guards room with computers and of course the clip board. Then up stairs is look out tower were Joes can arm the gate for any potential Cobra Attacks. I love this one and these look good if you have room to set up a couple as an entrance to the G.I. Joe base. What does everyone think about the Check Point? Sound off AFTER THE JUMP and let us know! Be sure to check in tomorrow for my next discussion!
