G.I.Joe ‘Short Fuze’ Discussion By Mitchell Smith!
Welcome to the outpost. Today I’m going to jump back to 1982 and a G.I.Joe character that I feel hasn’t gotten enough love over the years, Short-Fuze. Short-Fuze is one of my favorite original characters. He was one of the first Joes I received as a child. He had a mortar and I loved the Joes with the face visor. These really stuck out to me as a 7 year old. Sadly, he only had a handful of upgrades. The 2005 version was cool and he got a pair of shades to bring a bit of uniqueness to him.
The cool kid from Chicago. In 2008 he was sold in the Ultimate Battle Pack, and was a pretty cool figure with glasses and cool weapons. I think he would have looked cool with a visor but that didn’t happen. I didn’t get this version of Short Fuze because at the time I did not have the cash to shell out on this large Battle Pack. In 2009 there was a 12 inch figure released of him, I was able to pick this one up and it is one of my favorite Joe 12 inch figures. I would have liked to see a visor on this one too or some shades, but he did come with a really awesome mortar. Short Fuze just had a really cool look and he remains one of my favorite characters.
