Is The 2015 G.I.Joe Convention in Jeopardy of Not Happening?

Was this years the last G.I.Joe Convention as we know it. There is a significant rumor that Hasbro has not renewed their contract with Fun Pub and that next year’s G.I.Joe Convention may not happen. For more on this check out the info we have below and share your thoughts after the JUMP!

I first have to get a few disclaimers out.

1. This info was released by an Insider.

3. This news is to be considered as a RUMOR.

5. I was very hesitant to release this info but i feel it’s the right thing to do.

Okay enough warnings, it’s time to get to it.

Joe Con 2014 was the last Convention on the current contract between Fun Pub and Hasbro. Our insider stated that the 2015 Con is in jeopardy and isn’t sure if we’ll have a Con next year. This in the wake of the Canadian G.I.Joe Convention ending this year. The Insider went on to say that the FSS3 is safe and will go on as planned.

Finally we have some information on the 13th mystery figure in the FSS3. The two possibilities have been identified as Lightfoot or Sneak Peek in Night Force Decos.

I want to say that I have reached out to a very knowledgeable and respected person in the G.I.Joe community for more info and advice on this rumor. They weren’t able to confirm any of this info. They were able to say that the Fun Pub contract rumors have come up in the past and it’s always been re-signed.
