Legendary Rock Star Ozzy Osbourne Passes Away At Age 76

All aboard The Crazy Train. John Michael “Ozzy” Osbourne was born in 1948 in England. Dubbed The Prince of Darkness, Ozzy just finished up his farewell tour just weeks before his death 7/22/2025. Ozzy grew up poor and suffered a troubled childhood. By the age of 17 Ozzy had been bullied, sexually abused, attempted suicide, dropped out of school, worked general labor jobs, robbed a clothing store and spent 6 months in jail for his acts. In 1967 Ozzy’s life took a turn when he was recruited to be the lead singer of a band called Rare Breed. From there, an incredible journey had begun and Ozzy would soon skyrocket to fame when they changed the name of the band to Black Sabbath.

The heavy metal band quickly rose to the top and would become one of the top bands of the seventies also becoming a pioneer of Heavy Metal music. In 1979 the band shocked the world when Ozzy was fired as the lead singer. A minor set back as Ozzy went on to his solo career. His fame erupted in the eighties and Ozzy cemented his name in the Rock and Roll scene forever. Ozzfest was created in the nineties to help and support up and coming bands. Then in the early 2000 Ozzy and his family brought themselves to everyone’s living room with his reality show “The Osbournes”.

The show brought a comical side to Ozzy with ups and downs and trying to figure out what the hell he was mumbling. From his wild antics on stage including bitting the head off of a dead bat to his curious lifestyle of the rich and famous, Ozzy was a unique person with an unmistakable signing voice. He very well may have been to epitome of The Rock and Roll star of the seventies and his legacy will ring for ever in the halls of Rock and Roll. With all the bad things Ozzy did in his youth he made up for with many charities in his older wiser years. Ozzy will truly be missed by family, friends, and fans alike. Rock on Ozzy you are a true legend.
