Mark Hamill will play ‘The Trickster’ On CW’s ‘The Flash’!
If is funny, just when you thought CW had created the best show on television in ‘The Flash‘, they go and make an epic move like casting Star Wars legend Mark Hamill to play the role of ‘The Trickster‘! The CW’s “The Flash” is staging another reunion from the ’90s version of the character as HitFix has learned that Mark Hamill (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) will reprise his role of James Jesse, aka The Trickster on the series.
According to an official description, Hamill’s Trickster is “an anarchist terrorist con man serving a life sentence in Iron Heights who helps Barry and Det. West to foil the city-wide attacks of a wannabe Trickster eagerly following in the original’s deadly footsteps.”
“Having Mark reprise his role as The Trickster was on our original wish list when we were planning our version of The Flash,” executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said. “Christmas and Chanukah came early for us this year when he said yes! We are beyond humbled and excited to have him joining us for another round of deadly trickery!”
Hamill previously reprised as the voice of The Trickster on “Justice League Unlimited,” but this marks the first time since the 1990s series the he”ll play the character on the screen.
