New Masters Of The Universe Film on Hiatus?

In January, Kick-Ass 2 screenwriter/director Jeff Wadlow turned in his script for a new live-action Masters of the Universe movie, but it’s been crickets ever since. In the latest Meet the Movie Press podcast, Jeff Sneider from The Wrap was asked if there was any progress on that front.

“Like totally not going forward or happening in its current incarnation at all,” Sneider revealed. That right there will dash the hopes of a lot of He-Man fans. Jeff added, “I think that stalled out.”

Jeff’s co-host Mark E. Reilly of Schmoes Know shared his own with Masters of the Universe as he was a part of writing team that came up with treatment for a film adaptation, but it too stalled out.
