Pitch Perfect 3 Is a GO!

I was the most shocked of anyone to say after seeing both of the Pitch Perfect films, that they ruled. Now the great news has come down the pipe that there is going to be a third installment in the movie franchise. One can only hope that, ‘Fat Amy‘ will be making a return appearance. Triple the fun! Universal Pictures announced on Monday, June 15, that the official release date for Pitch Perfect 3 has been set — with several key cast and crew members returning to the franchise.
Hot off the heels of Pitch Perfect 2’s blockbuster success, Universal confirmed in a press release to Us Weekly that the third installment of the movie-musical franchise will be released in July 2017.

Returning cast members include the two main stars of the first two flicks, Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson. The studio also confirmed that Pitch Perfect 2 director Elizabeth Banks will be producing the series, though it’s unconfirmed whether she will be sitting in the same chair for the third film.

After the announcement was made, Kendrick shared an Instagram photo of herself holding up three of her perfectly-manicured fingers. “Happening,” the Twilight actress wrote, alongside the snap of herself winking. “#3.”
