Star Wars: The Force Awakens has easily become the most anticipated movie in quite some time, already breaking box office records weeks before its December 18 release. We reported last month that advanced ticket sales had already reached $50 million, shattering the previous record of $25 million set by 2012’s The Dark Knight Rises.

As expected, this blockbuster-to-be will also be used to help promote a number of other highly-anticipated movies, with studios jockeying to put their trailers in front of this sci-fi adventure. The Hollywood Reporter reveals that Paramount Pictures has secured the first trailer for Star Trek Beyond to debut with Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

The news doesn’t come as too much of a surprise, since Star Wars: The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams serves as a producer on Star Trek Beyond through his Bad Robot Productions company, which wrapped production in October.

The filmmaker was actually set to direct this third Star Trek adventure before he took over on Star Wars: The Force Awakens, leading to Justin Lin coming aboard to replace him. Star Trek Beyond is slated to hit theaters on July 22, 2016, going up against Warner Bros.’ Knights of the Round Table and 20th Century Fox’s Ice Age: Collision Course.
