THE POP EXPOSE – CHIP ‘N’ DALE RESCUE RANGERS 2022!
Welcome everyone. My son and I had a chance to sit down and watch “Chip ‘n’ Dale: Rescue Rangers”, the 2022 movie playing on Disney+. This is a live action film with animation incorporated into it. I’m not sure if there is a name for that yet, but there should be as this type of movie seems to be growing in today’s world . Does anyone know if there is a name for this type of movie? Any hoot the film briefly follows the Rescue Rangers after there 1989 animated show ended and they set off on their own paths.
They end up running into each other modern day and get tied up in a modern adventure when characters start disappearing. The movie stars John Mulaney as Chip and Andy Samberg as Dale. Seth Rogan, J.K. Simmons, and Kiki Layne round out the main cast, but there are many other great actors and voice actors in this movie. Chip ‘n Dale were created back in the fourties’. I remember watching them as a kid. They were always entertaining and we had a lot of chipmunks where I grew up so they seemed natural and real I guess.
They were always a favorite of mine when I was really young. I did watch Rescue Rangers with my younger brother and sister in the nineties and I don’t remember a lot about the show but I believe it was a pretty good show. I was a bit skeptical when I started watching the movie, but Samberg and Mulaney did a great job bringing Chip ‘n’ Dale to life. The movie also draws lots of animated characters in from all over the place. There are many eye catching hidden eggs so you may want to watch this multiple times to catch them all. Overall this is an entertaining movie and great for family night or just a couple of buds hanging out on a Saturday.
The ending closed off this movie but left it wide open for multiple movies to be made in the future. I’m happy these 2 classic characters have been reinvented and I hope they stick around.
