The POP-EXPOSE ‘Nudity Returns to Playboy’ This Month!
Playboy, the worlds most widely known men’s magazine tried an interesting experiment in 2016. They decided after the more than 50 year run of the magazine that they could be more viable by not having any nudity in the magazine itself. It looks like that experiment was very short lived as of the March 2017 issue, nudity is back in at Playboy. Why the change? Check out what Playboy CEO Cooper Hefner son of found Hugh Hefner had to say.
Playboy’s Chief Creative Officer, Cooper Hefner—Hugh Hefner’s son who took over the publication last year—in partnership with the content team have unveiled the latest creative evolution of the brand with a new philosophy, which includes reinstating nudity starting with their March/April 2017 issue.
“I’ll be the first to admit that the way in which the magazine portrayed nudity was dated, but removing it entirely was a mistake,” Cooper explained. “Nudity was never the problem because nudity isn’t a problem. Today we’re taking our identity back and reclaiming who we are.”
The first model featured in a new spread with nudity is Elizabeth Elam. We have featured some photos from the March issue below which you can check out. Were you a reader of Playboy? Did the removal of nudity from the magazine change your decision to buy it? Let us Know AFTER THE JUMP!
