The POP-EXPOSE

THE POP EXPOSE – ‘Stand By Me’ Movie Discussion with Mitchell Smith!

Hello everyone. Over the weekend I had a chance to watch one of the all time greatest movies “Stand By Me”. The 1986 coming-of-age film featured a number of stars including the main four Wil Wheaton, Cory Feldman, Jerry O’Connell, and the late great River Phoenix. Along with them other long time stars like Kiefer Sutherland, John Cusack, and Richard Dreyfus rounded out this classic Rob Reiner film based on “The Body” by Stephen King. With a crew like that you have a recipe for a masterpiece.

That they did. Something in todays world that has kind of been a lost art, a story full of heart, soul, and passion. The movie starts out in the current time 1986 and looks back on an adventure of a lifetime as 4 boys in 1959 venture off to find the body of a lost kid. In a simpler time they discover that life is an adventure full of ups and downs and no matter what happens you must press on.

This is just one of those great movies that brings and interesting story and shows that even though times are always changing the basics always stay the same. It’s hard to put the emotional roller coaster into words, so if you have never watched this classic movie put it on your watch list. Have a safe week everybody.
