The POP-EXPOSE ‘The Hobbit Action Figures’ by Mitchell Smith!
What happened to the Hobbit action figures. The Lord of the Rings was a great trilogy and along with it came many awesome figures from all 3 films. The Hobbit was good but just not what Lord of the Rings was, but the figures were still really cool and they dabbled in the 3-3/4 inch figures that looked great and got me excited. There was even a glimpse of the rest of the hobbits that were in production but it appears the whole thing was axed including any further characters for 3 inch and 6 inch.
I tried researching a bit on line and it appeared there was some head butting between WETA and the company making the figures, but why didn’t they find a new company to produce at least the rest of the hobbits in the 3 inch line? They did make a 6 inch Thorin Oakenshield and Bilbo but why not produce the rest of the gang there as well? It has baffled me why there was so much success on the LOTR figure line, but the Hobbit line just ended.

I would have also loved to see some of the LOTR figures done in the 3 inch scale and maybe a play set or two like Bilbo’s home or The Prancing Pony. So I guess I wont hold by breath on any of these figures being made, I’ll just have to settle for being disappointed.
