12-Inch G.I. Joe Firefighter: A 30th Anniversary Tribute

Story By Mitchell Smith

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m taking a look at the 12 inch G.I. Joe first responder firefighter released in 2011 as a 30th anniversary figure. As many of you may know I was a huge fan of the 12 inch figures and also on the volunteer fire department as a teenager for a while, so this was a must have for me when they hit shelves.

This has a really nice realistic uniform as well as gear. The helmet, ax, and air pack are all great equipment that comes with this figure. I always wished they would do a Barbecue 12 inch figure, so I use this figure as a Barbecue because there wasn’t . There is a very nice Classified figure that is very much based on this figure. That figure looks great and I may try to get one or two to give Barbecue a couple grunts to teach the skill of extinguishing a rip roaring fire. Over all this is a great figure and I’m glad I was able to grab a couple back in the day. Make sure to check back for our next discussion.
