THE POP EXPOSE ‘Christmas Eve’ By Mitchell Smith!

Christmas Eve, what a special time of year. This year there probably wont be much under the tree for me, but at my age it’s not about what’s under the tree but who is around the tree. Yes it’s fun to open gifts and get surprises, but I enjoy watching the kid’s eyes get big and the excitement of watching them open gifts. For me I have everything I need watching the people I love be happy, and when they have opened their gifts and play with every one of them, we sit around the table and eat, talk, and maybe play a board game.

The worries of the world slip away for a while, and we live in the moment, reminiscing about Christmas’s long past, and people who made this day special, those who may be there with you and people who may not be with any longer. It was those who made each year special, whether it was that time mom dropped the Christmas ham on the floor, the time the kids saw Santa’s sleigh marks on the front yard, or when dad found his glasses and hat in the snow bank the next morning, each moment the people around you created memories for all ages.

So this year don’t think about what you didn’t get under the tree but think about those who have been around your tree and those who are still there. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.
