Flashback: New York Comic Con 2016

For many years, my spouse worked as an editor at several major comics publishers. One nice perk of the job was tickets to several major comics conventions around the country. Since this week is NYCC, I thought I’d look back at NYCC 2016, including what the major cultural forces were at a time before the G.I. Joe Classified line was launched.
It was the first time I ever dressed up for a con. I went as Mr. Robot, the character from the popular television show of the same name.
The People and Personalities of NYCC 2016
NYCC is like New York City itself. You’ll find whatever you’re looking for, as long as you look in the right place. You might see a few familiar faces, or find someone you haven’t seen for a while.
