Today it has been announced that actor ‘Willem Defoe‘ who played ‘Green Goblin’ in Spider-Man, has also been cast in the upcoming ‘Justice League‘ movie. THR reports that Dafoe is “playing a good guy in a role that will see him appear in both parts of the JL movies,” but has no further details.
The story is careful not to refer to Dafoe as a “hero” or “superhero,” likely indicating that his good guy credentials come from someplace else. Since he’s played so many villains, perhaps they just wanted to keep people from getting too excited about the prospect of Dafoe playing a classic Justice League foe.
