Another Villain joins the cast of “Gotham”!

Another villain will be joining the cast of the Fox networks new Gotham TV series. The Gangster known as Butch Gilzean will be played by actor Drew Powell from The Mentalist. For more on this, check out the article below and share your thoughts after the JUMP!

Deadline reports that “The Mentalist” actor Drew Powell has been cast as “Butch Gilzean,” a new character who serves as second-in-command to Jada Pinkett Smith’s gangster boss Fish Mooney. Production is expected to begin on the show, which already has a series commitment, very soon.

Based upon characters published by DC Comics, “Gotham” is a drama exploring the origin stories of Commissioner James Gordon and the villains that made Gotham famous. Series regulars cast to date are Ben McKenzie as Detective James Gordon, Donal Logue as Detective Harvey Bullock, Zabryna Guevara as Captain Essen, Erin Richards as Gordon’s fiancee Barbara Kean, Sean Pertwee as Alfred Pennyworth and Robin Lord Taylor as Oswald Cobblepot (aka The Penguin).

Bruno Heller (“The Mentalist,” “Rome”) wrote the pilot script and will serve as executive producer on the series. Danny Cannon (“CSI,” “Nikita”) will direct and executive produce the pilot, which is expected to air this fall.
