In what is fast becoming “urban legend” among DC fans, the off and on again development for the live action Wonder Woman t.v. series could finally be a reality. The EW has just reported that the CW President Mark Pedowitz is still moving forward with the project. He goes on to reassure fans that….

“Its being redeveloped. We dont want to produce something that doesnt do the franchise justice. Its the trickiest of all the DC characters.

As it looks now,the earliest we could see the pilot would be spring 2014….just in time to possibly piggy back the 2015 Justice League summer flick. If so,it will be pretty interesting to see how or if Warner Bros works the show into the film.

The last we heard about The CW’s “Wonder Woman” project, titled “Amazon,” it was being reworked internally and would not be debuting in the fall of 2013. This seemed like a death sentence for the series to many, but EW is reporting that The CW President Mark Pedowitz says the series is still very much alive and in development.

“Its being redeveloped. We dont want to produce something that doesnt do the franchise justice. Its the trickiest of all the DC characters.

Development on the pilot is no doubt in a similar state than it was a few months ago where the network was actively casting for the role of Diana with writer Allan Heinberg working on a script. It has been said before that should the project come together later this year, that an “off season” pilot could be ordered for the project with an eye toward a spring 2014 premiere.
