Legendary 1980’s action star ‘Dolph Lundgren‘ has joined the cast of Warner Brothers upcoming ‘Aquaman‘ film. Lundgren is slated to play the role of King Nereus of the aquatic kingdom of Xebe. Dolph Lundgren will play “King Nereus of the aquatic kingdom of Xebel, who claims Mera as his own and wants to kill Aquaman.” Nereus’ first appearance in the DC Comics universe was in Aquaman #19 (April, 2013) by Geoff Johns and Paul Pelletier.
Lundgren is known for his work in films like Rocky IV, Masters of the Universe, The Punisher and The Expendables franchise. In addition to his acting, Lundgren has a degree in chemistry from Washington State University, a degree in chemical engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Sydney.
