Exploring the 1986 G.I. Joe Cobra Bunker: A Classic Playset with Modern Potential

Story by Mitchell Smith
Welcome to The Outpost! Today, I’m taking a look at the G.I. Joe 1986 Cobra Bunker. The 1986 G.I. Joe Cobra Bunker is a really cool playset. It’s small but packs a big punch. It’s a really cool small bunker where Cobra can set up base and defend their post. I really don’t know how Hasbro has not tapped into the small playsets for the Classified series to give figures some depth and a purpose, such as defending their post.

I was hoping they would get on board and realize that vehicles are really cool but some scenery for our favorite Joes and Cobra’s would be super cool. Hasbro could design this set to fit together so people could buy one for display or buy two and have it a full building. This is a really cool piece and I’m happy to have it in my collection. Who had this as a kid? Who would love to see this and others in 6-inch scale? Make sure to check back next week for the next discussion at The Outpost.
