First Look inside the Bat Cave on Fox’s ‘Gotham’!

When we left Bruce Wayne at the end of season one of Gotham, he had just discovered that his father had some secrets that he had kept away from his son. One of those was a secret cavern below Wayne Manner, which we all know will eventually become the iconic, ‘Bat Cave‘. Today we have the first glimpse inside the Bat Cave courtesy of the latest promotional image for the show. Check out the shot below, and share your thoughts after the JUMP!

In the closing minutes of Gotham’s first season, Bruce and Alfred discovered a hidden enclave beneath Wayne Manor, and this new still picks up just after they descend that staircase. Though this hidden chamber is obviously not being referred to as the Batcave yet (after all, Bruce isn’t Batman yet) it must eventually become the gadget-packed lair of the Caped Crusader – though nobody is confirming as much for the moment!

“It changes everything in Bruce’s life,” David Mazouz explains to TV Insider. “It changes how he sees Alfred, the criminal side of Gotham, even how he sees his parents. It’s definitely not the Batcave. What is down there are clues to Thomas Wayne’s secret life and what he was trying to do before being killed.”

Gotham season 2 premieres Monday Sept. 21, 8/7c, on Fox.
