G.I.Joe ‘Cobra Hurricane’ Review by Mitchell Smith!

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m taking a look at the G.I.Joe Cobra Hurricane VTOL. This was just on the edge of my childhood days and I wanted this as a young teenager but I never got it. This is a really cool looking jet and I love the color scheme and I love the name. This is another vehicle I got by chance when I started collecting and it did not disappoint.

Although it was in a lineup up vehicles I never got as a kid I was transported back and could see the awesome play value for a kid when I got this one. This is one that also displays well if you are one to show off a piece or two of your collection. The pilot, Vapor, is not as cool as some of the other pilots such as Wild Weasel or Strato Viper but it is unique and has a certain cool factor to it.

I know this jet was used in the animated series and much like the Rattler it could take off vertically which was a bit of reuse on an original idea, but it’s still a pretty cool feature. Over all I rank this 3rd among Cobra jets. Although some may put the Condor ahead of this I have never personally seen a Condor so I can’t put that in my ranking.
