G.I. Joe Inside The Filecards Featuring ‘LADY JAYE’

Lady Jaye is listed as “Intelligence” as her PMS and “Personnel Clerk” as her SMS. I checked out the two colleges she attended and Bryn Mawr is a women’s college in Pennsylvania. Trinity College is listed in Dublin on her filecard. So assuming she went four years at Bryn Mawr and then maybe two years at Trinity would put her at 24 years old as the earliest she could have enlisted in the army.
Lady Jaye would have started her military career as a 42A Human Resources Specialist (the closest I can see to a “Personnel Clerk”). Later she would have re-classed into the Intelligence field, most likely a 35M Human Intelligence Collector. Basically this soldier interrogates prisoners and also talks with local populations trying to gather as much intelligence as possible. This MOS would make the most sense as it is listed she is a linguist.
Her G.I. Joe filecard also states she went to Airborne and Ranger Schools. Ranger School was not open to women at the time her figure was produced but it would be realistic on a modern take of her. The patch on her left arm is of the 91st Infantry Division which was actually a reserve division when her figure came out in 1985.
