G.I.Joe ‘LADY JAYE’ Discussion By Mitchell Smith!

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m taking a look at a female G.I.Joe who came on and took the bull by the horns and never looked back. Lady Jaye came on board in 1985. It was nice to see another female come in and be able to take front stage. Lady Jaye was in the forefront of many episodes and had a couple episodes revolve around her. The First figure is a solid staple in anyone’s collection. I did not have one as a kid but this is a unique figure. The color, accessories, and her signature hat made the original figure pop.

There have been many updates over the years. My favorite is the 2008 DVD battle version. This figure is really nice. This version did not have a hat but I love the head sculpt and she has really nice weapons as well. I did recently come across the retro line figure and this is a nice figure but the head sculpt kind of got slapped in the face with a hot frying pan, but I’m going to appreciate the Beauty of the ugliness. The figure does come with nice weapons and a nice body so it’s worth picking one up if you find one. If you don’t like this head, this one does look great with a head swap.

I also have the 2013 movie version. This one is nice with lots of weapons and a pack with straps not the traditional peg. I actually put my Covergirl head on this for a little better association with the original Covergirl but overall this is a solid Lady Jaye. Now there was a 12 inch figure in 1997. This was an international convention exclusive and there were only 100 produced so you might need to get a lone from the bank if you ever did come across this one. I love the looks of this figure but I think I have a better chance of getting a USS Flagg then finding this one.

Last but not least is the 6 inch version. What can I say, this is probably the best looking Lady Jaye I have ever seen. What a gorgeous figure. awesome weapons and she can have hair or a hat. She never looked good with a hat on, but this one looks great. Her javelin looks amazing. They got this figure 120% right. Overall Lady Jaye has been a staple character in the franchise and I can’t wait to see what the future holds with a live action series aimed around Lady Jaye. Who loves Lady Jaye? What is your favorite figure of her? Sound off below and let us know. Make sure to check back for our next discussion.
