G.I.Joe ‘Shockwave’ Discussion By Mitchell Smith!

Welcome to the Outpost. In 1988 G.I.Joe was already on a slow decline, there were still a lot of cool figures and vehicles but the cartoon wasn’t what it used to be. Shockwave was in the cartoon but I don’t think his character was developed. I’m not sure if the comics dove a little further into who he was but I’m curious to track down some with him in it.

I remember getting Shockwave for Christmas and although there were several nice figures from this year, I think Shockwave stood out above the rest. He is one of my favorite figures from this year. He did later get a version with an unmasked face and removable helmet so this version was a cool head swap with his original figure.

He did get an awesome modern figure that I do have in my collection. I don’t believe there was ever a 12 inch figure of Shockwave but I think a 6 inch version with a removable hat and face covering or a head swap with the classic head and an alternate with open face and a helmet would be da bomb. This is a great character and I hope we see more of him in the near future. Who loves Shockwave, and who had the original figure? Sound off AFTER THE JUMP and let us know! Make sure to check back for our next discussion.
