G.I.Joe ‘Slipstream’ Discussion By Mitchell Smith!

Welcome to the Outpost. Happy Friday everyone. This was a long week for me but it’s time to let the good times roll. Today I’m taking off with the G.I.Joe Conquest X-30 pilot Slip-Stream. Slip-Stream has 4 versions 1986, 2003, 2004, and modern 2008 version. This is one I got for Christmas in 1986 and is one of my favorite jets. I have a few original shells and it was a no brainer to pick up the 2008 version when it came out, I just wished I had grabbed more LOL, well not really LOL. The original figure is really cool and unique.
The modern version is a nice rendition of the original, and the 2004 version is really cool with a removable helmet but minus his signature mustache. I do not have the 2003 version but it looks pretty cool. This was a really cool concept jet and was featured in the cartoon especially in the opening scene in the 1986 series. This is one I have always loved and really rivals all the other jets ever made.
Slip-Stream was a staple character in the cartoon as well as the comics. I don’t believe there was ever a 12 inch or Sigma 6 figure and it is unlikely we will see any pilot in the 6 inch line. Over all Slip-Stream is a very cool character and ranks up there high especially among fighter pilots. Who loves Slip-Stream and the Conquest? Which is your favorite version of Slip-Stream? Make sure to check back for our next discussion.
