G.I.Joe ‘Star Brigade’ Discussion by Mitchell Smith!

Today I’m taking a look at some G.I. Joe Star Brigade figures. I love the Star Brigade series and I wish they would have made more, but I want to take a closer look at the big boxy ones the ‘Armor Tech’ figures. Destro, Duke, Hawk, Heavy Duty, Rock N Roll, Robo-Joe, B.A.A.T. These did not have a ton of articulation but they were pretty cool.

These were suits designed to go into deep space. They all came with an Array of weapons but one accessory I love most are the helmets. Some of the color schemes of the weapons were bright but over all they were pretty cool. Figures like Duke, Heavy Duty, and Destro had a spring loaded cannon arm which was very cool especially to a kid such as my son who really enjoys the spring loaded guns.

These work great in a game my son and I made up where we each lineup figures and take turn trying to knock over each others figures with the spring loaded cannon, last man standing wins. These figures may not be the most enticing to collectors, but I like them and they have created hours of fun and if anyone has these in there collection, over all these are petty cool to have.
