G.I. JOE UNDERAPPRECIATED FEATURING BATTLE CORPS ‘ICEBERG’!

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m taking a look at the 1993 G.I. Joe Battle Corps Iceberg. The original Iceberg is a figure I had as a kid and he is one of my favorites. I think everyone loved that figure as much as I did. When they decided to give Iceberg and updated version I was out of Joes and never had this 1993 version as a kid. I don’t hear much chatter about this version but I think this is a cool figure that came with some cool gear. First off for all the people who don’t like the oversized spring loaded projectile weapons, his gun is proportioned well and actually does not look bad.

My son and I play a game where we pick figures, line them up and pick different projectile guns and try to shoot each other’s figures over. Last one standing wins. Snowboarding was up and coming in the nineties so this version of Iceberg came with a pretty cool board. This version also came with a rash up guns and knives that were nothing unique and were all used with multiple figures. We got some fresh snow last night so I grabbed some snowshoes and a pack and sent Iceberg on a little hike this morning.

If you really don’t like the yellow mask you can always do a head swap and this gives the 1993 figure a new dimension. Over all I thing this is a solid figure even with the covered face. Who loves this version of Iceberg? What version did you have as a kid? Let us know in the comments below! Make sure to check back for our next discussion.
