Harrison Ford will miss 8 weeks of Shooting due to Injury!


We reported last week that Harrison Ford was hospitalized due to a broken ankle which he suffered on the set of Star Wars Episode VII when the door to the Millenium Falcon malfunctioned and struck him. It was revealed last Thursday that actor Harrison Ford had sustained an injury on the set of Star Wars: Episode VII, and now The Hollywood Reporter brings word that Ford has suffered a broken ankle and will miss up to eight weeks of filming on the highly-anticipated sequel. The site also reports that Ford’s injury will not change the film’s release date. Check back for further details on the matter as we learn them.

Ford joins the returning Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker for the new film alongside new additions John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Lupita Nyong’o, Gwendoline Christie and Max von Sydow.

Star Wars: Episode VII is being directed by J.J. Abrams from a script he co-wrote with Lawrence Kasdan. It will open in wide release on December 18, 2015.
