As part of an ongoing contest on the film’s official Facebook page, Walt Disney Pictures and Marvel Studios’ Iron Man 3 has revealed a closer look at two of the alternate armor designs that will be showcased in the May 3 release. Take a look below at the Mark XXXIII, an “Enhanced Energy Suit” dubbed “Silver Centurion” and the Mark XL, a “Hyper Velocity Suit” nicknamed “Shotgun.”
Hitting 3D, 2D and IMAX theaters, the Shane Black-directed action adventure stars Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale, Jon Favreau, Ben Kingsley and Wang Xuequi.
The film pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him.
