James Bond 25 Gets A New Director!
The search is finally over for a new producer for the upcoming 25th installment in the James Bond Movie Franchise. Producers Michael G. Wilson, Barbara Broccoli and Daniel Craig announced today that filmmaker Cary Joji Fukunaga, best known for True Detective and Beasts of No Nation will be taking on the task. Production is slated to begin on what is being called, ‘James Bond 25‘ on March 4, 2019, with the film being slated to be released on February 14th, 2020. Fukunaga has previously flirted with major studio movies, having been signed on to direct Warner Bros. IT before departing the project. His other credits include 2011’s Jane Eyre, his debut feature Sin Nombre, and the upcoming Netflix dark comedy series Maniac, all 10 episodes of which he directed.
EON Productions and Metro Goldwyn Mayer Studios (MGM) recently reached an agreement with Universal Pictures to partner on the worldwide release of the 25th James Bond film. Daniel Craig will return as 007, the legendary British secret agent.
