Marvel president Kevin Feige wasn’t able to the attend the meeting because he was out of town, Feige also stands by the decision of not reinstating Gunn back to Guardians 3. However, the studio is reportedly still considering using the script that Gunn penned for the film, the absence of which is a deal breaker for co-star Dave Bautista.
It was previously reported that Marvel was trying to convince Disney to potentially re-sign Gunn in the wake of the controversy. Meanwhile, rival studios including Warner Bros. are said to be very eager to approach Gunn with projects once his exit from Marvel/Disney is fully executed. Essentially, this means that Gunn’s career will only suffer a minor hiccup from his current situation.
